Swim with the Sea Lions in Honolulu

So you’ve heard about swimming with the dolphins, but have you ever thought about taking a swim with the sea lions? If this sounds like an activity you might enjoy, sign up for the Sea Lion Discovery Swim at Sea Life Park, located near Honolulu, Hawaii.  Offered with or without transportation from your hotel, this is a once in a lifetime chance to get up close and personal with these friendly little critters.  After a brief orientation given by one of the trainers, you will hop in the water and become part of the action.  Watch the sea lions as they swim underwater and give them a little rub; they will surely return the affection.  They may even give you a show as they jump over hurdles and mimic their guests.

Visitors aged eight and above can enjoy this rare opportunity to get a peek at these friendly animals, and everyone will be thoroughly entertained during the special interactions with the sea lions.  These swims are very interactive, and you will learn a lot about how sea lions communicate, both by seeing it and through the informative commentary of the trainers.

Don’t forget to bring a swimsuit, a towel, and a smile on the day of your park visit.  Safety vests are provided at the time of the swim.  For more information on this activity and many more, visit www.honolulutours.net

Rest and Relaxation on the Beautiful Island of Lanai

Imagine kicking back and listening to the sounds of nature with the sparkling waters of the Pacific Ocean and the lush tropical rainforests as the perfect backdrop.  All of this is possible if you journey to Lanai.  Lanai is a beautiful Hawaiian island that is separated from Maui and Molokai by the Au’au Channel and the Kalohi Channel, respectively.  Known as the Pineapple Island, the main tourist activity in the area is rest and relaxation.

Once you arrive on the island, you can expect to be immediately taken aback by the tranquil atmosphere that is palpable virtually everywhere you turn.  Once you get acquainted with the island, whose only town is Lanai City, you may want to approach it from a different angle.  The Lanai Snorkel Trip is the perfect way to do just that.  You can choose from a full or half day outing depending on how much time you wish to spend underwater.

Should you choose from one of these options, you will visit anywhere from four to six snorkel sites where you can snorkel, swim, or just unwind on the boat as you enjoy the ever-present sunlight.  The 30-foot hard-bottom inflatable ocean raft is a perfect mode of transportation for this type of trip, as you will be able to benefit from comfortable seating and incredible views from the water.

Tours are designed for groups of 10 to 14, so bring a few friends along and join one of the groups that are forming right now.  The virgin coastline of Lanai will draw you in as you explore the hidden coves and sea cliffs that surround the island.  For more information, visit www.alohatours.us and reserve your tickets for a trip to remember!

Amazing Views in Beautiful Kauai

Hawaii has lots of beautiful islands to choose from, but if you can only visit one, choose Kauai.  The oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands, the “Garden Isle” has been featured in many movies including the animated film “Lilo & Stitch” and the dinosaur flick “Jurassic Park.”  As you arrive on the island you are sure to be taken aback by the sheer magnificence of it all, and to be certain that you see everything there is to see it is suggested that you take a guided tour.

On one of the many helicopter tours available, you can marvel at the gorgeous scenery from above, which is an opportunity that you do not want to miss.  There is nothing quite like the high you will feel as you soar above the islands and experience them from all angles.  You will have the chance to see Nawiliwili Harbor, Waimea Canyon, and Menehune Fishpond, which is rumored to have been built by leprechauns entirely in one night.  You will also float over Kipu Kai and the Tunnel of Trees, as well as Olokele Canyon and Na Pali.

If you are looking to have your fun on the ground, consider taking an ATV tour and navigating your way through thick vegetation to the Kahili Mountain Range or to the Koloa Plantation, depending on which tour you choose.  With the latter, you may even get to see a spectacular whale show as you travel along the Poipu shoreline.  This typically happens from December through March.  The former features amazing views of a private waterfall which, if you are feeling adventurous, you can go cliff-jumping near later in the day.

Visit Kauai and you will be in for the experience of a lifetime.  Don’t forget to bring extra film for your camera since you will be snapping continuously from beginning to end, and keep an eye on www.kauaitours.net for more exciting options for your Hawaiian vacation.

Out on the Water in Molokini

When you need somewhere to go to defrost from a harsh winter, Hawaii is a great option.  Just 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui is a gorgeous area called Molokini.  This moon-shaped area is a partially sunken volcanic crater between Maui and Kahoolawe that has evolved into one of the most beautiful snorkel and dive locations in Maui County.  It is now considered a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District and is an underwater safe haven for marine life.  In addition to the natural world that exists below the surface, there is a lively tourist population that comes into the area on boats each day from the south coast of Maui.

While you are on the island, take some time out in the water to get closer to the underwater world of varied species on the Molokini Afternoon Deluxe Cruise leaving from Maui.  You will depart on the Pride of Maui catamaran first, where you will get a taste of the attractive scenery and the sparkling waters all around you.  The Pride of Maui is the largest boat in the harbor at 65 feet long.  Before you plunge down into the water, you will enjoy an unobstructed view from the upper deck.

Once you have reached your intended destination, you will suit up with the gear that is provided to you and make your descent into the waters below.  You have the option of renting an underwater camera to capture your experience, and after the trip you can purchase videos as well.  Food will be provided hot off the grill, and you can also buy alcoholic beverages on board.

To take in the sights at night, take the Molokini Sunset Cruise, also departing from Maui.  This cruise takes place on the Pride of Maui as well, and provides live acoustic guitar music by Joe Cano and mouthwatering food selections including guava glazed baby back ribs that are prepared out in the open, exhibition style.  Fresh seasonal fruits, rich desserts, and a premium open bar stocked with regional wines, imported beers, and mixed and blended drinks round out the menu.  As you cruise around, Joe will play anything you want to hear, from jazz to rock and flamenco.  This is truly an enjoyable evening not to be missed.

Whether you stay in Molokini or explore the other islands, the important thing is that you decide to make the trip.  It is an experience that is well worth the time and money it takes to get there and there are activities to keep you busy from sun up to sundown.

Check out www.molokinitours.com for more information and to book your next tour.

Hawaii is one of the most beautiful locations on Earth.  The beautiful beaches, stunning scenery and fun activities make it great place to spend your vacation.  Big Island Tours can provide you with all the tours, activities and attraction tickets you will need during your stay.

One of the most fun things to do while visiting the Big Island is it taking a ride on the Hilo Big Island Volcano & Waterfall Helicopter Tour.  The helicopter will soar over the tropical rainforests so you can catch glimpses of the bright and vivid colors down below.  You will go right past many rushing waterfalls making this one of the greatest experiences of your life.  These are extremely personalized flights so you can converse with your pilots if you have any questions and they will even fly back over an area if you want to see something again.

A different way to see the area, but equally as fun, is the Big Island ATV Ride.  You will drive the vehicle through historic Parker Ranch where the road shows you a timeline of Hawaiian history.  Here you will see historical homes, rodeo grounds, vast valleys and rolling hills that may render your speechless!

If you are in the mood for a romantic evening on the Big Island try the Sunset Cocktail Cruise.  Not only will you be stunned with the large bright sun that just seems to melt into the ocean, but be entertained by live performers.  During the cruise, you may even spot dolphins or a whale!  This is perfect for some special quality time between you and your loved one and just as wonderful with a group of friends for a fun night out.

The Hawaii Volcano Adventure is an additional way to see the amazing sights of the Big Island.  A large luxury bus takes you the Kilauea Volcano where the eruptions never seem to cease.  This excursion allows to you to get closer to the lava flow than any other on the island!  The tour bus will also take you to sights such as Volcanoes National Park, Jagger Museum, Thurston Lava Tube and Steam Bluffs & Crater Drive.

Just visiting the Big Island is an amazing experience so if you add several fantastic activities, your vacation will be even better.  Check out the Big Island Tours website, www.bigislandtours.net.

Sail the Open Sea

If your vacation brings you to a location where a gentle breeze is common along beautiful smooth waters, then taking a ride aboard a sailboat would be an excellent choice.  No matter where you decide to spend your holiday, taking time out to enjoy yourself on the open water will be one of the best decisions you could make.

From one side of the country to the other, Sailboat Tours offers luxurious rides where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and add a bit of adventure to your vacation.

One of the most popular tours is the Day Sail on San Francisco Bay.  The boat will take you right by Alcatraz Island where the infamous federal prison is located.  You will receive amazing views as you pass under the Golden Gate Bridge.  Depending on your preference, you can sail in the afternoon and check out all the sights, or drift through the water at sunset and witness the glowing sun set over the sparkling water.

The NaPali Snorkel Picnic Sail of Kauai is another fabulous sailing excursion.  The boat explores the rugged NaPali coast where you will see waterfalls and lava tubes.  The guide is extremely knowledgeable on the area and can let you in on the secret ancient legends of the civilizations that once inhabited NaPali.  Breakfast and lunch picnics are included as well as snorkel instruction and gear.  So not only do you get to take in the sights of the coastline but a chance to explore the crystal clear waters as well.

For a bit of romance during your stay in Key West, the Champagne Sunset Cruise is perfect.  The boat takes you along the smooth ocean so you can experience true bliss as you watch the large orange sun appear to melt into the heavenly waters.  Your seat in front of the breathtaking sunset is to die for.

In Chicago, you can travel in the evening aboard a large and lavish sailboat in hopes of sighting the largest mammals on our planet.  This whale watching cruise is one-of-a-kind and is a wonderful way to spend time with your family on the open water.  The cruise along Lake Michigan is great place to spot some whales and create memories to last a lifetime.

See if you can include a fun sailboat ride in your vacation by visiting Sailboat Tours’ website at www.sailboattours.net today!
