Branson Weekend Getaways

Branson is the ideal destination for live entertainment, earning it the moniker “Live Entertainment Capital of the World.” As such, it is impossible to see everything on offer in a single day. With that in mind, Branson Shows has created several vacation packages designed to showcase the best of the best, nicely tied together in a single deal.

The Stone Castle Weekend Vacation Package, which is offered from April through September, gives you a chance to enjoy the city for three days and two nights. Included in the package is accommodation at The Stone Castle Hotel or you can book a similar package with a stay at the Lodge of the Ozarks. It is slightly more expensive to stay at the Lodge because it is located on the Strip, but this is an optimal location for those who want to get out and explore beyond the confines of this package.

The weekend agenda is as follows. On Friday night you will enjoy a 6:30 pm showing of the SIX Dinner Show, where you will dine by candlelight before listening to the musical stylings of six very talented brothers. The group not only sings but uses vocal percussion, meaning that the only accompanying sounds are those of the voices themselves.

On Saturday afternoon, you will have a choice between three shows, all starting at 3 pm. You can sit in on the Acrobats of China show, which features amazing stunts and a vibrant celebration of Chinese history and culture, or you can tune in for Country Tonite, a tribute to the country music of yesterday and today. Finally, you can opt for the entertaining Kirby & Bambi VanBurch Magic Show for a dose of rousing theatrics and large-scale illusions, with a collection of exotic animals thrown into the mix. In the evening you will choose between the Shoji Tabuchi Show - which includes Shoji himself along with his gifted wife and daughter - and the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show.

During the holidays, you can take advantage of the Branson Christmas Weekends Package, which also takes place over three days and two nights. Accommodations for this package are provided by either The Stone Castle Hotel or the Lodge of the Ozarks. The itinerary is laid out in the following way. On Friday night you will get to see the Kirby and Bambi VanBurch Christmas Spectacular Magic Show and your Saturday morning entertainment will come from the Shoji Tabuchi Christmas Show. Saturday night is reserved for the Dolly Parton Dixie Christmas Dinner & Show. Put all these elements together and you get a nice taste of the true spirit of Christmas!

It is clear that Branson Shows really did their homework when creating these packages, and you can probably expect more equally appealing packages in the near future. To book one of the packages mentioned here, or to take a look at some of the individual tours currently on offer, visit www.Branson-Shows.net.

Spellbinding Shows in Branson

Branson, Missouri is a performing arts dream, and when you visit the area you will be dying to get in on thesix-show1 fun.  With over 150 shows to choose from, there is sure to be something to meet every interest.  Branson houses over 40 stages and draws an impressive number of tourists every year.  It is best known for its dazzling theatrics and vibrant stage productions which continue to entertain the masses from one season to the next.

Music is the medium of choice for much of the Branson area, with performances in virtually every musical genre.  Shows feature a variety of musical influences including blues, Motown, rock and roll, gospel, country, bluegrass, Broadway showtunes, and more.  Some visitors may prefer to take in a magic or comedy show, and when you are in Branson you can do it all!

shoji-tabuchi2One of the most popular shows in the Branson area is the Shoji Tabuchi Show.  Led by Shoji himself, the show introduces you to his family of avid performers, including his wife Dorothy and daughter Christina.  Shoji has also hand-picked each band member and each has one or more professional degrees in music.  Those with a background in the arts know that this is not always the case.  Dorothy oversees the dancing and, along with the help of a renowned choreographer, she has put together an impressive display that will both entertain and amaze you.  The show provides all the glitz and glamour of a Las Vegas show while staying close to its wholesome and family-friendly roots.  That’s right; this is a show that you AND your kids will enjoy.

A combination of music and comedy, the Baldknobbers Jamboree Show is one of the many events in the area that has drawn a large crowd year after year since 1959.  The show is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary, making it the first to ever come to Branson.  Starting with four brothers in the Mabe family, it had a humble beginning with the performers entertaining from the Branson lakefront.  Since its start, four family generations have participated in the show which spans across six decades.  Today, a cast of talented singers, musicians, entertainers, and comedians work together to present to the audience a demonstration of music and comedy at its very best.

Along with its wide array of theatrical performances, Branson also attracts many solo performers who visit baldknobbers2for limited engagements throughout the year.  In November, for example, you can catch a concert by Amy Grant, best known for her Contemporary Christian and popular music which she has performed from the 1970s to present.  Also appearing is Bobby Vinton, a successful rock singer most recognized for his works in the 1960s and 1970s.
