Exotic ATV Tours Around the World

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012

Whether you call them All Terrain Vehicles, Quads, 4-Wheelers, or Barrels of Fun, ATV Tours are the ticket to a beastly good time all over the world. The possibilities are nearly endless on ATV Tours – enjoy getting dirty and muddy on a wild off-road adventure in Maine, or stopping to snorkel in the pristine Cozumel Caribbean waters, or driving through the picturesque vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany, or adding sand-boarding or surfing to your Cape Town trek, or just relaxing as you take in a beautiful midnight sunset in Alaska. It seriously is hard to choose. But one thing you can be sure of is when you get in gear on your ATV that your day will be full of smiles! :D

Ride ATVs through the Cozumel Jungle

Personally, I would recommend our ATV & Snorkeling Combination Tour in Cozumel Mexico. Take an exciting ATV adventure through the heart of the Cozumel jungle and then visit one of Cozumel’s beautiful beaches for some snorkeling in the pristine Caribbean waters. The ATV portion of the tour will leave from the Mayan town of El Cedral. While exploring the Cozumel jungle, you will visit a natural sinkhole, an underground cave and a small Mayan ruin, all of which are tied to the ancient Mayan civilization. Then, you will be transported to a beautiful Cozumel beach to experience a one-of-a-kind snorkeling excursion.

Drive a Quad to explore Tuscany Italy

For a more romantic ride, our Quad-ATV Tour in Tuscany from Florence offers you a unique opportunity to explore Tuscany. You will drive a professional Quad through the Chianti region featuring vineyards, woods and olive groves. After the ride you can relax with a cool drink and fresh fruit by the pool. (in the summer bring your bathing suit!) You will then be served a Tuscan meal accompanied by a selection of fine Chianti wines in the welcoming and comfortable restaurant of the Villa. On the way back, you will stop to visit a nearby 13th century castle!

Enjoy an Adventure Tour from Cape Town

To really get your adrenaline flowing, our Sandboarding or Surfing & Quad Biking Tour from Cape Town South Africa provides an opportunity to learn the basics of either Sandboarding or Surfing – plus topping off your day with a high-powered guided sand dune Quad Bike experience. If you choose the Sandboarding option, you will learn how to stand up and gain balance to cruising down the dunes at high speeds that will get your adrenaline flowing. Or, if you choose to learn the basics of Surfing, you’ll receive instruction on ocean awareness, learning how to stand up and gain balance, and cruising on a beach break wave. Either way, your adventure will include a Sand Dune Quad Bike experience where you can speed up, down and along the face of the dunes. If you’re into the active lifestyle, this tour is for YOU!

And those are just a few choices. On our Midnight Sunset ATV Tour from Denali guests drive ATV’s to two breathtaking Alaskan overlooks to view the unique and memorable midnight sun as it creates a rainbow of sunset colors. Wildlife is often sighted along the way. And on our Guided ATV Tour from Bingham Maine you’ll get to ride on one of the best ATV trail systems in the East. Located in the upper Kennebec Valley, this region contains some of the most beautiful and pristine wilderness in the US. Visit ATV Tours today to reserve your wheels and let the good times roll. Book online and save or call us toll free for assistance with reservations, group tour bookings and private charters. For now, I’ll leave you with eye candy of hundreds of miles of open terrain, incredible scenery, and awesome riding in Bingham, Maine. Happy Trails. ;)

Adventures in the Philippines

Discover the "Pearl of the Orient Seas," the Philippines

Discover the “Pearl of the Orient Seas,” the Philippines

The Philippines, coined the ‘Gems of the East,’ consists of 7,107 islands, and most of them are very small. All of the islands have a lot to offer to tourists, from the typical “sun, sea & beach” holidays to Eco Adventures deep into the diverse geography of these beautiful tropical islands. And don’t forget to meet the people – they are very friendly, and the country welcomes tourists, as they bring money to the country to support local businesses and the economy. From swimming with dolphins in coral waters, to exploring volcanoes and hidden waterfalls, to going out on the town to meet the people (perhaps trying some “tuba” coconut wine) and learn about their rich culture, the Philippines really has it all.

Embark on a full day small group excursion to the town of Pagsanjan, Laguna located two and a half hours south of Manila. Your destination is the Majestic Pagsanjan Falls. Take a scenic boat ride on a native dugout canoe (banca.) As the boat is skillfully maneuvered upstream by two boatmen, the landscape diversifies with beautiful boulders, steep gorges and lush tropical vegetation. Return downstream by “shooting the rapids” as expert boatmen steer past huge boulders in churning waters at top speeds. With its booming waters cascading down the cliff 900 feet below, this is truly an exhilarating, spine-tingling, adrenaline-pumping ride!

Next, hit the beach on our Mactan Island Snorkeling & Picnic Tour from Cebu City. This full day fun in the sun small group tour combines the excitement of riding on a motorized canoe (banca) with snorkeling, swimming or diving in the small islands of the Mactan Channel. Feed fish and soon you will have these colorful creatures feasting from your hands. Enjoy a refreshing swim in reef waters or free diving. A delightful lunch of grilled seafood, chicken or pork with fresh fruits for dessert will be served picnic style on a white sand beach. Whatever you choose to do, your time at Mactan Island is sure to be memorable and fun.

There’s no better way to end your day than enjoying a delicious buffet dinner of Philippine delicacies on board a floating barge on the Loboc River. Our Loboc Riverside Dinner & Night Cruise in Bohol offers a peaceful atmosphere and soft, soothing river breeze to help you unwind. Afterwards, transfer to another barge which will float you upriver towards Busay Falls, with a live band playing music to entertain you. Let the river and the lovely choir performances of the local talents of Loboc serenade you. Drinks are also available on board. You’ll love the cooler temperature of the day, beautiful tropical scenery, and relaxing ambiance.

Sea & Sky Tours at the Magic Isle

Evergreen: Fly Non-Stop To 10 West Coast Cities

Maui, nicknamed “The Magic Isle,” is certainly a gorgeous gem of the Hawaiian Islands. It seems most befitting that the flower of Maui is the Lokelani, meaning “heavenly rose.” Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands, located approximately 21 degrees north of the equator in the most isolated land in the world. The nearest land mass to Hawaii is San Francisco, approximately 2,400 miles away. Of the total of more than 100 islands in Hawaii, only eight are considered major islands – Ni’ihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, Lanai, Kaho’olawe, and the Big Island of Hawaii – and only seven of those islands are inhabited. Anytime of year is a good time to visit Maui. The average temperature is between 75˚-85˚ F throughout the year. Maui reaches from sea level to 10,023 feet, to the summit of a dormant volcano, Haleakalä. Sugar, pineapple, cattle, and agriculture are a few of Maui’s major industries, with tourism at the top of the list. Maui’s world-famous beauty attracts tons of recreation activities, including golfing, horseback riding, hiking, whale-watching, nautical adventures, and helicopter tours!

Legend has it that the island of Maui was named after the Native Hawaiian demigod Maui, who pulled up the Hawaiian islands from deep out of the ocean with a magic fishhook linked to the heavens. After the islands were pulled out, the chord broke from the heavens, and the magic fishhook sank down into the ocean, lost forever. There is no better way to explore the mysteries of the deep, see the underwater coral beauty of Maui, and meet a colorful array of marine life located only in Hawaii than to take an underwater voyage. Hawaii’s coral reefs, the “rainforests of the sea,” are incredibly diverse ecological communities. With nothing more than a mask an a snorkel, you’ll be in a whole new world.

I’d like to invite you on the Molokini Snorkel & Turtle Town Morning Adventure from Maui, a perfect opportunity to discover the rich foundations of Maui’s birth and meet its tropical underwater locals. Climb aboard the Pride of Maui, a state-of-the-art 65 foot catamaran famous for her stability and comfort. Relax as you cruise in style to two beautiful diving destinations. The tour includes an Island-style continental breakfast, two snorkeling stops, a delicious lunch, snorkeling gear, and instructions. You’ll visit Molokini, a crescent shaped caldera that is a protected marine sanctuary. The waters are calm and clear, which is perfect for scuba diving, snuba diving, and snorkeling. You will also visit Turtle Town, known for its beautiful lava formations and Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.

If you’d like to dive even deeper, then take a once-in-a-lifetime undersea adventure on our Atlantis Submarine Tour! It is the world’s first and most technologically advanced passenger submarine. Journey into a spectacular blue world more than 130 feet below the surface in spacious air-conditioned comfort. You will see the majestic natural coral reefs and Hawaiian marine life. From December through May, you can enjoy whale watching during the ship-to-shore journey. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended for this popular tour!

The Island of Maui is also called the “Valley Isle” for the large isthmus between its northwestern and southeastern volcanoes and the numerous large valleys carved into the mountains. Explore deep, meandering valleys set in the rainforest of the ancient West Maui Mountains. Knife-edged ridges with mist-shrouded peaks separate the spectacular valleys. Waterfalls cascade down from towering cliffs into the streams running along the rainforest floor. Take off on the Maui Spectacular Helicopter Tour to soar with a bird’s eye view to see the rainforests and waterfalls of the West Maui Mountains, Hana, and the Haleakala Crater. You’ll also enjoy a 20-minute landing and refreshments at Ulupalakua Ranch. Every West Maui Mountains tour is unique!

Discover the best of both worlds on our West Maui Island Deluxe Helicopter Tour & Submarine Adventure. Experience Maui under the sea as well as above it! Take in views from above, inaccessible by land and discover lush green rainforests, cascading waterfalls and a dormant volcano. Then, marvel at Hawaii’s unique underwater paradise aboard a high-tech 48-passenger submarine. View fascinating coral reefs and their inhabitants as you explore the ocean more than 100 feet below. Every dive is a new adventure!

From heavenly summit views to pristine beaches and thriving nautical life, there are plenty of reasons why Maui has been voted “Best Island” by travelers for years. Discover your own reasons to love Maui with Maui Tours. Feel free to call us at 888-321-3650 to answer your questions and help book your favorite tours. From breath-taking sunrises atop Haleakala Crater to the scenic Road to Hana, your adventures in Maui promise to be unforgettable. It’s no wonder why thousands of whales migrate directly to Maui year after year. One visit to the Magic Isle, and you might annually join them.

Summer Special Hawaiian Style! Save 10% + Free Shipping at Coffees of Hawaii. Promo Code: COFFEE10 - 468x60

Aloha travel friends! Let me tell you a little secret… There’s no better way to celebrate the May flowers than donning a gorgeous, aromatic Lei in Honolulu. Now is the perfect time to beat the crowds and the rising temperatures with the ultimate tropical escape – that’s right, it could only be Hawaii. Summer is right around the bend, and there are TONS of exciting Eco tours from Honolulu for you to do! Get off the concrete and discover the gorgeous natural beauty of the Islands. You’ll be glad you did, and remember your adventures for years to come. From active volcanoes to hidden waterfalls, pristine beaches to incredible mountain views in the clouds, swimming with sea turtles to zip-lining through the rainforest, Honolulu really is an Eco Paradise.

The Hawaiian Islands, located at center of the Ring of Fire, are formed entirely of volcanoes, one of the most destructive natural forces on earth. Everyone knows how deadly volcanoes can be. But did you know the benefits of them? Many volcanic materials are very beneficial to nature and human life – lava that is continuously forming new landmasses and islands, diamonds and other precious gemstones, generating geothermal energy, volcanic rocks used for making roads, natural glass from lava (pumice), volcanic ash that is rich in nutrients and greatly improves soil fertility, and carbon dioxide and hydrogen released into the earth’s atmosphere that begin the processes of photosynthesis and the water cycle. Volcanoes have a delicate balance with nature – fire & water, death & life, ashes & lush vegitation. Hawaii is one of the greatest mysteries of the universe. See these marvels up-close for yourself on our Eco adventure tours!

My first recommendation has to be our Big Island Grand Circle Island Volcano Adventure from Honolulu. Not only will you see the magnificent ancient Banyan trees, coffee farms, and Orchid and Anthurium Nursery of Hilo, but you will also get to see the beautiful 80 foot tall and almost 100 foot wide Rainbow Falls. Then the highlight of the tour – a visit to the world famous Kilauea Volcano, which has been steadily erupting since the 1980′s. Your tour guide will entertain and educate as you explore the Volcano National Park, the Jaggar Museum, Thurston Lava Tube, Fern Tree Jungle, Kilauea Iki Crater, and more. Don’t forget your camera on this fantastic tour, or you might just cry. And then have to buy another one. Don’t miss this amazing adventure in Hawaii!

My second recommendation is our Mauka to Makai: Zipline, Kayak, Snorkel & Eco Hike with Lunch from Honolulu. See Oahu the way that you have always dreamed of during a thrilling Eco-adventure on the Windward coast of Oahu. Hiking through the rainforest of the Ko’olau Mountains, soaring above the trees of Oahu’s valley, and kayaking through the crystal clear waters of the Pacific are all included in this fun-filled day trip! Your expert ecologist is devoted to showing off the unique life that exists only in Hawaii’s climate. This popular tour sells out well in advance, so reserve early.

On our Ultimate Circle Island Eco Adventure with Lunch from Honolulu, you’ll get to see Hawaii’s wide variety of wildlife with stops at a Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle basking grounds and bird watching at native Hawaiian wetlands. Your professional tour guide will share information about the many different plants, birds, and animals that call Hawaii home. Designed to both entertain and educate, this tour will expose you to Oahu’s raw natural beauty with stops off the beaten path. You will also visit Byodo-In Temple, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch, see famous lookouts and beaches of Oahu, hike Waimea Valley and enjoy a refreshing waterfall swim!

No matter what you wish to do in Honolulu, Aloha Tours is proud to be your source for sightseeing tours and attractions on the Islands of Hawaii. We offer tours and activities on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, The Big Island, Lanai, Molokai, and Molokini. Indulge in some of the best foods in the world, take in some sun in this tropical climate, and enjoy a never ending array of things to see and do. Call us toll-free for assistance with booking your trip today. Ho’olu komo la kaua – please join us!

Snorkeling Fun in St. Petersburg

Friday, January 30th, 2009

St. Petersburg, Florida, a beach town located between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, is a popular location for both tourists and retirees.  Nicknamed the “Sunshine City,” St. Pete enjoys around 360 days of sunshine each year, making it the ultimate vacation point year-round.  The weather is perfect for doing outdoor activities, since temperatures rarely dip below 50°F, so you will have ample opportunity to explore the area and get acquainted with its key landmarks without having your plans squelched by rain and inclement weather.

While you are visiting Florida, consider taking full advantage of the crystal clear waters and embark on a once-in-a-lifetime snorkeling adventure.  St. Petersburg is a great place to do just that, with the Snorkeling Adventure from St. Pete Beach.  You can go out on the boat and catch some rays or go swimming if you decide that snorkeling isn’t for you.  Like everything on this trip, it is completely optional.  If you do decide to take the plunge, suit up and get ready to explore the remains of Fort Dade, which was built up around the time of the Spanish-American War.  You will also get the chance to visit the island of Egmont Key and explore its trails and National Wildlife Refuge.  If you are a snorkeling newbie, don’t worry.  Everyone receives in-water instruction as a prelude to the main event.

There is so much to see that it would be impossible to put it all into words, except to say that you will be truly amazed by the underwater world that you discover during your journey.  Over four hours, you will check out the Lighthouse at Egmont Key State Park, which was constructed in the 1800s, swim with the fish, and come face to face with history as you seek out any existing remnants of various historical structures.  Then, on the way back to land, you can relax and soak up the sun on board the boat, which has been designed like a catamaran for maximum comfort and stability.

The next time you are trying to choose a vacation destination, keep sunny St. Petersburg in mind.  When you need help deciding on a tour or activity in the area, visit www.stpetersburgtours.net.  If you book your tickets online, you will save $5 on each adult ticket.

Out on the Water in Molokini

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Evergreen: Fly Non-Stop To 10 West Coast Cities
When you need somewhere to go to defrost from a harsh winter, Hawaii is a great option.  Just 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui is a gorgeous area called Molokini.  This moon-shaped area is a partially sunken volcanic crater between Maui and Kahoolawe that has evolved into one of the most beautiful snorkel and dive locations in Maui County.  It is now considered a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District and is an underwater safe haven for marine life.  In addition to the natural world that exists below the surface, there is a lively tourist population that comes into the area on boats each day from the south coast of Maui.

While you are on the island, take some time out in the water to get closer to the underwater world of varied species on the Molokini Afternoon Deluxe Cruise leaving from Maui.  You will depart on the Pride of Maui catamaran first, where you will get a taste of the attractive scenery and the sparkling waters all around you.  The Pride of Maui is the largest boat in the harbor at 65 feet long.  Before you plunge down into the water, you will enjoy an unobstructed view from the upper deck.

Once you have reached your intended destination, you will suit up with the gear that is provided to you and make your descent into the waters below.  You have the option of renting an underwater camera to capture your experience, and after the trip you can purchase videos as well.  Food will be provided hot off the grill, and you can also buy alcoholic beverages on board.

To take in the sights at night, take the Molokini Sunset Cruise, also departing from Maui.  This cruise takes place on the Pride of Maui as well, and provides live acoustic guitar music by Joe Cano and mouthwatering food selections including guava glazed baby back ribs that are prepared out in the open, exhibition style.  Fresh seasonal fruits, rich desserts, and a premium open bar stocked with regional wines, imported beers, and mixed and blended drinks round out the menu.  As you cruise around, Joe will play anything you want to hear, from jazz to rock and flamenco.  This is truly an enjoyable evening not to be missed.

Whether you stay in Molokini or explore the other islands, the important thing is that you decide to make the trip.  It is an experience that is well worth the time and money it takes to get there and there are activities to keep you busy from sun up to sundown.

Check out www.molokinitours.com for more information and to book your next tour.
