Going on a Goose Hunt in Seymour

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Have you ever been on a goose hunt? Probably not that many people in the world can say that they have unless they grew up in an area where it is popular.  This is all the rage in Dallas, and it can truly be an adventure and a learning experience if you are open to it.  When you are staying in the Dallas area, you can travel over to Seymour, which is just under 3 hours from Dallas.  There you will be provided with meals and lodging for the duration of your stay.

The ranch is a great place to get away from it all and to spend some time with friends.  You will have to bring your own equipment and also remember to bring warm clothes since it will get cool at night.  Camouflage is a must so that you can blend in with your surroundings while hunting.  It’s not a typical vacation activity, but that is exactly why you should try it at least once in your life.

Hunts start very early in the morning, between 4:30 and 8:00 am, so this is perfect for the morning people out there. You will enjoy a continental breakfast or a full Texan breakfast which is highly recommended.  In the afternoon you will be served lunch after the hunt and at dinner time you will have a huge selection of cowboy-themed food and delicious meats.  The chef is happy to tailor the menu to your needs provided you give adequate notice, and if you wish, you can even arrange a themed dinner for an additional cost.

If you are deeply involved in hunting already or are just looking to get outside your comfort zone, look into taking this trip.  The food, friendly atmosphere, and opportunity to relax and enjoy nature make this a trip to remember.  For more information on activities like this, visit www.bigdtours.com.

Experience the Magic at Disneyland Paris

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Since Paris is such a huge tourist destination, many attractions have been created to cater to visitors’ wants and needs.  Such a place is called Disneyland.  Disneyland Paris welcomes 13 million visitors each year which is 7.5 million more people than the Eiffel Tower receives.  It is a place of magic, wonder, curiosity and pure fun, so why wouldn’t you want to visit?

The Disneyland Paris 1-Day Hopper from Paris Tours offers you either a one park or two park pass with the option of transportation.  This makes it very convenient and easy for you to get to and from the park from your hotel in Paris.  With the one park pass, you will only be able to explore Disneyland but with the two park pass, you will also visit Walt Disney Studios Park.

Disneyland Paris has five different lands within it.  One of these is Frontierland which shows you all the grandeur and decadence of the Wild, Wild West.  Here you will see cowboys and Indians with rides that will remind you of the conquests and thrills of the old west.  You can ride down a runaway mine train on Big Thunder Mountain or see how your shooting eye is in the Rustler Roundup Shootin’ Gallery.

Adventureland is full of action and suspense as you can explore through caves, tunnels, waterfalls and bridges in Adventure Isle.  You can also search through Aladdin’s Enchanted Passage, climb to the top of The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, or take a voyage with the Pirates of the Caribbean.  This land will get your heart racing and blood pumping!

In Fantasyland, all of the ‘Once Upon a Time’ tales will come to life!  You have the chance of flying in Dumbo’s ride, visit the Seven Dwarves cottage, and spin in the Mad Hatters’ Tea Cups.

If you are into science, the future, or inventions then Discoveryland is right for you.  Here you can view a 360º film about Jules Vern and the Timekeeper.  You may also drive futuristic cars, walk through Captain Nemo’s submarine, and ride one of the greatest Disney rides of all time, Space Mountain.

The last land is Main Street U.S.A. which is based off small town America complete with horse-drawn carriages, vintage police cars and fire engines, and the Disneyland Railroad.

Right next door is Walt Disney Studios Park where you will witness the magical world of cinema and television.  The park features four film lots where you can ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Indiana Jones adventure, experience Armageddon and view many, many shows.

These parks are an action-packed celebration of our fascination of cinema, television and overall entertainment.  Purchase your tickets today at www.paris-tours.net.
