Out in the Wild on an Everglades Day Safari

Are you ready for a safari adventure? If so, hop on an airboat ride to the Ten Thousand Islands.  On the Everglades Day Safari from Ft. Myers, you will ride through the swamps and sawgrass prairies of the Everglades looking for reptiles, colorful birds, and mammals if you are on the West Coast or you can ride with the Miccosukee Indians through the ‘River of Grass’ if you are on the East Coast. The whole day is led by experienced guides who will help you keep your eyes ‘peeled’ for all the wildlife surrounding you.

The safari includes a nature walk which takes you deep into the cypress swamp where you will explore and search for the mysteries kept hidden deep within the Everglades.  For lunch, you will dine on a full meal plus appetizers of alligator and other local delicacies.  You will also venture out on dirt roads where you will see even more wildlife, and this is a great opportunity to get out your camera for some gorgeous pictures.  The Everglades is the only place in the world where you can see crocodiles and alligators coexisting.

For photographers and nature lovers alike, this is a wonderful experience and a unique way to spend the day.  Tours start at 8:00 am daily and last for 9.5 hours.  So bring your sunscreen and lots of film and you will be set for a safari to remember.
