Visit Memphis, Tennessee - or the “River City” as it is sometimes called - and you will be amazed at all there is to do.  You can stop by Graceland for a look at a wide array of Elvis memorabilia or take a tour of Sun Studios for an insider’s view of the history of Rockabilly music.  There is also a vibrant nightlife scene in Memphis that you have to experience at least once in your life.  These are only a few of the things you will see on your trip to the area.

Singer-songwriter Marc Cohn paid tribute to the city with his hit song “Walking in Memphis,” and for good reason.   He mentions many of the things that distinguish Memphis from other cities, especially the strong musical influence that can be felt in every square inch of the city.  The Delta blues, one of the earliest styles of blues music, originated here, and then of course “The King” himself, Elvis Presley, was born and raised in the Memphis area, rocketing to stardom after being signed by Sun Studios.
