Sightseeing on a Boston Duck Tour…Quack!

Everybody has heard them quacking as they pass…it’s the Boston Duck Tour.  With great weather here to stay, there is no time like the present to get our and enjoy sightseeing in Boston, Massachusetts.

Boston Duck Tours

This tour provides a truly unique experience in Boston.  Not only will you cruise by all the places that make Boston famous, but you will also see the golden-domed State House, Bunker Hill, TD Banknorth Garden, Boston Common, Copley Square, Government Center, fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market, the Prudential Tower, and more.

Boston River Tours

We recently took this tour while visiting Boston and had a really nice time.  My 9-year-old daughter especially enjoyed when we splashed into the water.  We booked our tickets online and printed an e-ticket before we left.  It was very simple and we did not have to wait in line because we planned in advance.  We also took a dinner cruise that we booked through the same site and the food was exceptional.  We will be heading back to Boston in the near future.

San Diego Excursions to Baja Mexico

Getting to Mexico from San Diego is easy, but taking your own vehicle is not recommended.  Further, U.S. rental cars are generally not allowed to cross the border.  For this reason, day trips from San Diego are very desirable.  Most tours include free hotel pick-up and drop-off.

Mexico Tours from San Diego depart daily and offer a variety of sightseeing options.  A few of the options include a visit to Rosarito Beach, Tijuana, and Ensenada.  There are wine tours, lobster tours, and shopping tours, to name a few.

On our last visit to Southern California, we enjoyed the Ensenada Tour with lunch.  The coach was very nice, our guide was friendly, and we had plenty of time in Mexico for shopping and exploring.  The lunch was very good at Casamar, and I would recommend this tour to individuals as well as families traveling to San Diego.

Horseback Riding near San Francisco

With the warm weather seemingly here to stay, it was time to find some new outdoor activities to enjoy around the San Francisco Bay with my family.  In my search for new things to do, I came across a series of horseback riding adventures that peaked my interest.

The Bodega Bay horseback rides seemed like the best fit because they offered pony rides for the children, as well as guided horse tours along the beach for the adults.  The trip was fantastic.  Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and we are now looking at another horseback riding trip to Point Reyes that we might take in a few weeks.  I will keep you posted…

Sightseeing on the Seine River in Paris

This time of year is a wonderful time to enjoy a Seine River dinner cruise or other fun activity in Paris, France.

The Seine River flows through the center of Paris.  Many years ago, this was the main route of transportation and protection for the city.  The Paris dinner cruises show you famous landmarks, old homes and bridges while you dine in style.  Many famous artists have painted the Seine River.  Most of these works are on display in prominent museums around the world.

Some of the sights you may enjoy include the City Island and the Cathedral Notre Dame, the Saint-Louis Island, the Conciergerie, the Grand Louvre Museum with its superb southern facade, the Pont Neuf, the Institute of France, the Orsay Museum, the Alexander III bridge, the Grand and Petit Palais and the Eiffel Tower, to name a few. More information on Paris Tours is available online.
